Happy Birthday Dad!

My dad turned 80 today. We had a big lunch for him at Fogo de Chao one of his favorite places. Saw some old family friends I haven't seen in over a decade. I don't like to think too hard about my parents' age though. 

I'm still kind of exhausted from my trip to KS. Got back almost midnight Friday, then I had to run around and do some errands and pick up Charlie (my doggo) from the sitter and stuff, so I didn't get much rest yesterday. Then the lunch today, which is a 3 hour round trip drive, so it took up most of the day as well.

I've been trying to write again. But haven't had much inspiration. I started about a paragraph of something while I was hanging out in various airports last week, but not sure how I want it to go. It's basically a prequel and/or companion to a fic I wrote years ago that was Tony/Gibbs NCIS, mostly pwp. The one I started last week I kind of want to write Tony asking for what he wants (and gets in the original fic) for the first time-ish. I don't know. Writing is hard now lol.

I know what you mean. I don't really write fic anymore except for Yuletide and I think I really only do that because it's a tradition and I would have major FOMO if I sat it out. LOL

But I am totally cheerleading you on your writing. I think your story idea sounds really fun.

Yeah, writing is a thing I'm trying but not super successful doing yet lol. We'll see how it goes.

I feel you on the writing. I'm on a bit of a writing kick now (with Jessica Fletcher *g*), but the lock down really screwed with my writing schedule/ability. Even now I can't write every day like I used to. It sucks, but I am happy when I do manage to word.

You know, I think Murder She Wrote is one of the few old shows that still holds up! I can still turn it on and be interested :)

It really does hold up! I only just watched it for the first time this year. It aired on Hallmark and my mom watched it (which is why I was aware of it) and I realized that it would be coming back around to s1 soon, so I started recording it and watching it. By the middle of season three I was taking notes. I came up with all sorts of ideas (they had Jessica doing so MUCH!); everything from a western to a secret agent AU. I started writing after I'd seen all 12 seasons. I have crossed Jessica over with so many other fandoms! She's suddenly my little black dress, lol!!!
