margarksFinally finished Arsenic and Adobo. I'd probably give it a 3 out of 5. It was just okay. She did really good with writing the filipino characters, but I found that I didn't like them that much? They totally acted like typical filipinos though. The mystery itself was kind of blah and there were some scene that cut have been cut short. Overall it was okay.
I also just read All Systems Red by Martha Wells, the first in the murderbot series. I loved it! I really like the main character. I'm definitely going to continue the series. Not sure how I feel about the tv show coming. I feel like this is going to be a lot like 2001 space odyssey. A lot of it was in the character's head/internal monologue, so I'm not sure how they are going to show that or if it will translate well. But I would definitely recommend it. It's also pretty short, like 150 pages or something.
